Dr. Cynthia U.O. Addae

Founder & Executive Director

 

Dr. Cynthia Addae is the Founder and Executive Director of Boost Foundation. She holds a PhD in Management from INTI International University, Malaysia,an MBA from the same institution, and a Master of Management Studies from University of Hertfordshire, UK.

 

She has over eight years of experience in tertiary education and seven years in industry, having lectured at institutions such as Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation Malaysia and Istanbul Gelisim University, Turkey where she taught courses in marketing, entrepreneurship, innovation, and research methods. Her academic work has been published in peer-reviewed journals, including the International Journal of Management Education and Environmental Science and Pollution Research.

 

Boost Foundation was founded following her return to Ghana, where she witnessed the economic struggles of underserved women and youth, particularly single mothers working as head porters. After an initial attempt to address this challenge through external policy channels was unsuccessful, she chose to take direct action by creating an organisation that would provide practical skills, entrepreneurship support, and pathways to economic independence.

 

Today, she leads Boost Foundation with a strong commitment to empowering underserved groups and building sustainable livelihood opportunities through training and enterprise development.
